This coming Wednesday, November 8th New Century Academy students and staff will be attending the WE Day event at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul. The event starts at 9:30 am so we will need to leave Hutchinson by 7:40 am to arrive on time and enjoy all the performers and speakers.
To accomplish this our transportation company has agreed to provide an early morning route and a late afternoon route to accommodate families needing transportation to and from school that day. To do this we will have to pick up 1 hour earlier than the normal pick up time. I understand that this is a very early pick up time for many students. Please have your children ready 1 hour earlier on November 8th.
If you decide to provide your own transportation to school that morning please be at the school no later than 7:30 am so that we can leave on time at 7:40 am.
We will return from St. Paul around 4 pm. There will be a late route home to accommodate those families who can’t pick up their children from school that day. Buses normally leave around 3:30 pm so you can anticipate the afternoon drop off to be 30 minutes to an hour later.
If you decide to provide your own transportation home that day, we will have staff here to supervise students until they are picked up.
This is a great event with many exciting performers and speakers. The event is set up to showcase and celebrate volunteer and service efforts by students. New Century students have been involved in service projects from the beginning of our schools inception. We will be ramping up these efforts as we move forward in creating a school that teaches our students how they can impact the lives of those in their community, country and across the globe.
