Our Mission is to engage students in critical thinking and teamwork that empowers them toward life-long learning and global citizenship.

Important Dates

  • Monday, October 25th – Friday, October 29th – students will be taking NWEA tests
  • Wednesday, October 27th – Finance Committee meeting at 3:00PM
  • Wednesday, October 27th –  NCCS Board meeting at 5:30PM
  • Thursday, October 28th – Parent – Teacher conferences from 3:00PM until 8:00PM
  • Thursday, October 28th – New Century Parents Connection social beginning at 7:00PM at NCCS, and a meeting to follow at 7:30PM

Professional Learning

Professional Learning Communities will be meeting on Mondays from 2:15 – 3:15 to continue developing learning targets, common assessments, and to further implement project curriculum.

Highlights

  • New Century welcomed the project group for an awesome team building assembly this past Friday!
  • New Century student council put on a great Oktoberfest!
  • Student Council attended a great leadership training event in Spicer!
  • New Century 9-12 graders attended the National College Fair at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Look for the story in Tuesday’s edition of the Hutchinson Leader!
  • New Century Chronicle Newspaper will be distributed six times throughout the school year – one time per block – so look for your first copy soon!
  • All New Century students and staff planted our tree of hope in September and it is growing every day in our side yard.
  • New Century Student Council is off to a great start and has elected officers.
  • School store has opened and is filled with New Century clothing, healthy snacks, and healthy beverages.
  • New Century After School Activities are up and running – more information under the extracurricular link on the NCCS website (New Century Activities Club, Aviation Club, and Book and Movie Club)
