Important Dates

  • Monday, November 21st – Workout club after school!
  • Wednesday, November 23rd – Staff Professional Development, no school for students.
  • Thursday, November 24th – No School – Happy Thanksgiving!
  • Friday, November 25th – No School

Professional Learning

Professional Learning Communities will be meeting on Mondays from 2:15 – 3:00 to continue developing learning targets, formative assessments, and to further implement project seminar curriculum.

Highlights

  • · NCA brought in Day one 3D Assembly, and it was incredible!!  The message was “believing in your dreams and making a difference”
  • NCA brought in Sumi, one of the nation’s best speakers on bullying and OCD.  Sumi shared his story on bullying and OCD, and his message was very powerful – thank you for coming Sumi!
  • NDMA and NCA students experienced a wonderful assembly to honor our Veterans – thank you to our Veterans!!!
  • NCA Math Team competed in their first meet at ACGC!
  • Students had a great experience at Career Day last Friday – a special thank you to Ridgewater for putting on this great event
  • Spirit week was a great success – a special thank you to all chaperones, the band, and DJ’s for making this event possible!
  • NCA new online Rosetta Stone World Language program is now up and running!
  • We had an excellent turnout at parent teacher conferences – thank you NCA Parents!
  • NCA is working towards goin’ Google and using free Google apps for education!
  • New and exciting 2nd Trimester Seminars will be released soon
  • Juniors and Seniors attended the National College Fair in Minneapolis and are working hard on ACT Prep and college applications!
  • Staff and students are working hard together to develop clear learning targets, and students will be monitoring themselves as part of this new and special process!
  • Student Council is off to a great start – congratulations to Alyssa Dahlke for being elected Student President! Also, congratulations to Marissa Bergseng for being elected Vice President, Molli Meyers for being elected Secretary, and Colby Richards as Chief Financial Officer!
  • Staff just participated in a data mine conference, where we analyzed our student data and are making clear research based plans to achieving are shared goals!
  • Many more highlights to come as we get underway!
