- Thursday, May 5th – Senior Presentation Night beginning at 6:00PM
- Friday, May 6th – Festival of Nations Field Trip
- Saturday, May 7th – New Century Prom, Grand March beginning at 2:30PM at Library Square, and the dance begins at 7:00PM at the school.
Professional Learning
Professional Learning Communities will be meeting on Mondays from 2:15 – 3:15 to continue developing learning targets, common assessments, and to further implement project curriculum.
Highlights
- MCA Testing went great – the kids worked hard!
- New Century earned our first ever Lacrosse victory beating St. Louis Park 9-2!
- Students are raising funds for the NYC trip – thank you Applebee’s for your help!
- New Century school play, the Twelve Angry Jurors has been going great!!
- New Century Lacrosse is now up and running!
- New Century Students performed well at the Math Counts competition at Gustavus!
- New Century After School Reading and Math program started!
- New Century received great press from the Hutch Leader Tuesday and Thursday of last week for the Spanish trip and E-Term – great job to all involved!
- New Century Spanish classes had a great experience at the Concordia Language Village in Stillwater!
- New Century students performed in the upper percentile of Minnesota on the ACT’s!
- New Century planning trip to New York City, Philadelphia, and New Jersey!
- After School Reading and Math Program starts in February!
- New Century Girls Hockey First Game is Tuesday at Worthington High School!
- New Century Acoustic Guitar Class is up and running!
- New Century Student Council worked at Culvers to raise money for the school!
