  • Friday, June 8th – Teacher Work Day

Professional Learning

  • Professional Learning Communities will be meeting on Mondays from 2:15 – 3:00 to continue developing learning targets, formative assessments, and to further implement project seminar curriculum.

Highlights

  • NCA Lacrosse has advanced to the Lacrosse state semifinals!
  • Spring E-term was outstanding – thank you to all staff members and community experts that helped make e-term a success!
  • NCA Prom in Paris went great – thank you to all of the prom committee and parents for helping with prom this year – the kids had a blast!
  • NCA Lacrosse is not 8 and 1 on the season!
  • Festival of Nations Trip went great – thank you to all chaperones for going along!
  • Students had great field experiences to the Science Museum and the Waubesha Caves!
  • NCA and NDMA students did amazing putting on the Broadway musical, Annie!
  • NCA inducted sophomores: Elizabeth Hermodson-Olsen, Marissa Rogowski, Heather Karjala, Aleisha Albrecht, & Jacob Hergenrader to the 2012 NCA National Honor Society Chapter. Congratulations you five!!
  • NCA Student, Tyler Hruby, wins the Skills Works USA Competition and advances to Nationals in Kansas City!
  • NCA had an AMAZING 10th year Anniversary Celebration – thank you so much to all of you involved in putting this ceremony together!!
  • NCA Students placed well @ the Math Counts Competition!
  • NCA Students raised Blizzard dollars to buy toys for kids!
  • NCA Students placed 5th place in the One Act Play competition this past weekend.
  • NCA students had a great experience at the National Sports Center field day in Blaine!
  • Winter Parent Teacher Conferences were very successful with a nearly 100% parent turnout! Thank you parents for all you do.
  • NCA welcomes Elia Bruggeman, the MDE Assistant Commissioner, Thursday, January 12th – we are very excited to host Ms. Bruggeman!
  • Congratulations to all NCA Trimester One student award winners – we are so proud of all of you!
  • NCA Students placed in the World Series of Innovation sponsored by Microsoft!
  • Holiday Bazaar was a great success – thank you to the students and staff for putting this event together for all of us!
  • NCA brought in Day one 3D Assembly, and it was incredible!! The message was “believing in your dreams and making a difference”
  • NCA Students had a great experience at the Minnesota Wild / Tampa Bay Lightning game!
  • NCA brought in Sumi, one of the nation’s best speakers on bullying and OCD. Sumi shared his story on bullying and OCD, and his message was very powerful – thank you for coming Sumi!
  • NDMA and NCA students experienced a wonderful assembly to honor our Veterans – thank you to our Veterans!
  • NCA Math Team competed in their first meet at ACGC!
  • Students had a great experience at Career Day last Friday – a special thank you to Ridgewater for putting on this great event
  • Spirit week was a great success – a special thank you to all chaperones, the band, and DJ’s for making this event possible!
  • NCA new online Rosetta Stone World Language program is now up and running!
  • Juniors and Seniors attended the National College Fair in Minneapolis and are working hard on ACT Prep and college applications!
  • Student Council is off to a great start – congratulations to Alyssa Dahlke for being elected Student President! Also, congratulations to Marissa Bergseng for being elected Vice President, Molli Meyers for being elected Secretary, and Colby Richards as Chief Financial Office
