Our Mission is to engage students in critical thinking and teamwork that empowers them toward life-long learning and global citizenship.

Important Dates

Special Note – New Century MCA testing will be Tuesday and Wednesday, April 11, and 12!

  • Monday, April 4th – Lacrosse practice after school
  • Tuesday, April 5th – After School Reading and Math classes!
  • Wednesday, April 6th – 2 hour late start for students, staff professional development morning
  • Thursday, April 7th – Lacrosse Practice from 3:30PM until 5:30PM
  • Saturday, April 9th – Pancake Breakfast from 8:00am until 10:00am at New Century!  (funds raised help towards the New York trip)

Professional Learning

Professional Learning Communities will be meeting on Mondays from 2:15 – 3:15 to continue developing learning targets, common assessments, and to further implement project curriculum.

Highlights

  • New Century Math Counts competed at Gustavus – the kids did great!
  • New Century Lacrosse is now up and running!
  • New Century After School Reading and Math program started!
  • New Century received great press from the Hutch Leader Tuesday and Thursday of last week for the Spanish trip and E-Term – great job to all involved!
  • New Century Spanish classes had a great experience at the Concordia Language Village in Stillwater!
  • New Century students performed in the upper percentile of Minnesota on the ACT’s!
  • New Century planning trip to New York City, Philadelphia, and New Jersey!
  • After School Reading and Math Program starts in February!
  • New Century Girls Hockey First Game is Tuesday at Worthington High School!
  • New Century Acoustic Guitar Class is up and running!
  • New Century Student Council worked at Culvers to raise money for the school!
  • New Century 9-12 graders attended the National College Fair at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Look for the story in Tuesday’s edition of the Hutchinson Leader!
