Our Mission is to engage students in critical thinking and teamwork that empowers them toward life-long learning and global citizenship.

Important Dates
▪       Monday, November 5th – Field Trip to St. Paul:  American Queen Passenger Steamboat:  Mr. Wiprud – Mr. Becker or Mrs. Grina will email out which students are excused for this field trip
▪       Tuesday, November 6th – Election Day – GO VOTE!!
▪       Tuesday, November 6th – Hutchinson Rotary Ethics Seminar.  Please ask Mrs. Haugen if you have any question about this.
▪       Wednesday, November 7th – No Late Start, the Late Start is now scheduled for Wednesday, November 14th.  Please help us out by ensuring that your advisees are aware of this.
▪       Wednesday, November 7th – Field Trip to Shakespeare Performance: Mrs. Hendricks – Mrs. Hendricks or Mrs. Grina will email out which students are excused for this field trip.
▪       Wednesday, November 7th — Grad Re-testing for Writing, Reading and Math.

A Look Ahead

▪       November 12th –PLAN and EXPLORE tests begin in Mrs. Moore and Mr. Meece’s classes
▪       November 15th – Picture retakes PLUS advisory photos beginning @ 10:00AM
▪       November 20th – Last day of block II and end of trimester I
▪       November 21st – Teacher work day (no students), Trimester I Grades due at 3:30pm November 21st
▪       November 22nd and 23rd – Happy Thanksgiving  – no school
▪       November 26th – 30th – FALL ETERM
▪       For Senior Students and their Families: Mark your Calendars! Class of 2013 Commencement – Thursday, June 6th, 2013; Hutchinson Event Center; 7:00 pm
▪       ACT test dates have been posted and given to all senior and junior students – check in and follow registration procedures at ACT.org

Professional Learning
▪       Professional Learning Communities will be meeting on Mondays from 2:15 – 3:00 to continue developing learning targets, formative assessments, and to further implement project seminar curriculum.

Highlights
▪       NCA is off to a great start! Students are working hard, expectations are high, and we are all striving together towards excellence.
▪       NCA students really enjoyed Seth Franco from the Harlem Globetrotters, thank you for coming and sharing your story with us Seth!!!
▪       NCA students had a blast at the Renaissance Festival!
▪       NCA students had a very productive experience at the National College Fair!
▪       Spirit Week was fantastic!  Thank you to the Student Council for putting Spirit Week together, you did great!
▪       Congratulations to all Block One Award Winners!!
NCA 10th Graders had a fantastic experience at Ridgewater Career Day – Thank you to Ridgewater for hosting this event!
