Mr. Kraft – Social Studies

Politics are almost as exciting as war, and quite as dangerous. In war you can only be killed once, but in politics many times.” Winston Churchill

Having lived in 7 states and visiting more than a dozen countries I understand what Dorothy meant when she stated “There’s no place like home”. I’ve been teaching social studies since 2000 and have been here at New Century Academy since 2007. Courses taught over the years have included U.S. and World History, Human Geography, U.S. Government, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Law, Computer Applications, Micro and Macro Economics, Health and Physical Education.

I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!) as an undergrad earning my BA degree in Behavioral Science and Law, a certificate in Criminal Justice and a minor in History. I also attended Minnesota State-Mankato for my educational licensure for secondary education in social studies.

I currently reside in Hutchinson with my wife and two children.

I am a veteran of the United States Air Force having proudly served my county both in the United States and abroad.
