Comments Off on Flu Shot Clinic: Dec. 8th

McLeod and Sibley County Public Health are again collaborating with Minnesota Department of Health and the Office of Emergency Preparedness to offer free Influenza Vaccinations to children between 5 and 18 years of age in all local schools. These immunizations are FREE to all who choose to participate regardless of insurance status. Funding for this program is provided by a federal agency that requires the collaboration of community partners to accomplish a county vaccination exercise. Please expect more information from your child’s local school for specific dates and locations. (NCA & NDMA will be participating on December 8th.)

Why your child should participate:

  • It’s FREE and convenient
  • Immunization records will automatically be updated at your clinic
  • These immunizations will be offered to all students in all locations only while supplies last

How to participate:

  • Read the provided Vaccination Information Statement
  • Review, complete, and sign the enclosed consent and return to your district school office by November 23, 2015

Getting immunizations at school should not replace your child’s physical. Be sure to schedule your Well Child or Child & Teen Checkup along with a Sports Physical if needed. At that time remember to follow up with your regular provider regarding any further immunization doses needed. An immunization follow-up brochure will be sent home with your child the day they receive their vaccine(s) at school.
