Happy Holidays to all of our awesome families at New Century Academy!
We are so thankful that we have the opportunity to serve you. This holiday season causes us all to reflect on the past year and the experiences we’ve had together. New Century Academy has experienced a lot of change over its existence since being established in 2002. We have seen five different Directors over that course of time, as well as many different staff. All of these people have contributed something of value to our school and its purpose. I am personally thankful of all the experiences and relationships I have had the privilege to be part of. My hope is that in this next year we can provide stability to our school and continue to provide a meaningful, safe, and unique option for education.
The staff have been working hard to build positive relationships with your children. Our hope is that relationships built on trust and respect will help motivate and inspire our students to value their education. This is very difficult work with many hills and valleys. We work very hard at being patient and understanding during the difficulties and supportive and encouraging during the successes. Many of our students are looking for a fresh start and need to experience education in a different way to be successful. This requires a great amount of support from families. I hope that all of our families understand that we believe in your children and will do whatever we can to help them reach their goals. I wish all of you a happy holidays and a great new year! We have an exciting event coming up, please read below for further details.
Free Family Dinner and Entertainment: This coming Monday December 21st we will be hosting our first ever “Family Night” at New Century Academy. We are very excited for this event! The staff will be working the event and serving our students and their families a FREE spaghetti dinner starting at 5:30 pm. During the supper there will be musical entertainment, a student art and project showcase, as well as a few fun games to play. You can also just socialize and use the hour to get to know other families, staff, and students.
Bingo: Starting at 6:30 pm we will have Turkey Bingo! All students and families are welcome to play along and will have the chance to win one of two turkeys donated by Cub Foods. We will continue the Bingo game for more prizes. Students at NCA have been playing Bingo all week and the winners have been entered into a drawing for prizes. You must be present at the event when your name is drawn to win.
Door Prize Drawing: Immediately following the Bingo games and drawing we will continue giving prizes through a door prize drawing. Every family and family member will have the opportunity, as they enter the building, to put their name in a bucket for door prizes. You must be present at the event when your name is drawn to win.
We have a lot of prizes that have been donated by individuals and local businesses. Please see the website for a complete list, pictures, and recognition of our donors! Thank you to all involved in making these gifts a possibility.
