“Good Afternoon Parents, Guardians, and Students of NCA,

This is a bittersweet email to write as I share some exciting career news with you while also feeling extremely sad. On the last day of school at 3:45pm, I was offered a School Social Worker position at Delano Middle School. Of course, I was honored and grateful to be offered this position, but it meant that I had to say goodbye to a school that I love and to students and families that I have worked with during the past four years. Unfortunately, since I was offered the position on the last day of school, I did not have the opportunity to say good-bye to the students and let them know about this news, which is why I wanted to take this time to email you.

I am grateful for the opportunity I was given to serve each and every one of you and your student(s) while being the social worker at NCA. I appreciate the opportunities I have been given at NCA to grow as a professional in the field of Social Work and Education. Each of your students are unique and special and I wish them the best of luck as they continue grow and develop academically, socially, and emotionally through their middle and high school years.

Accepting this position in Delano is a career move that will benefit our family immensely. As some of you know, we live in Watertown, so a 15-minute commute versus a 35-minute commute means more time for me to spend with our one-year-old daughter, Jordyn, which makes me extremely happy!

If you have any questions regarding your student(s) or the new school social worker, please call the main office at (320) 234-3660.

Again, I wish you all the best and hope to see you around at a choir concert or other NCA functions!”

Sincerely,

Nicole Gohman
