One of the more unique aspects of life at New Century is our Advisory concept. Every students is assigned to an advisory when they enroll at our school. That group becomes their “home” at our school.
7 & 8 grade students are grouped together, and 9 – 12 make up the rest of the mix. A student will most likely stay with the same advisor and fellow students for his whole career at NCA. Advisors serve in the academic capacity, as well as offer the group training in character development and basically provide a social connection for the students.
Our advisories are “named” after famous philosophers so we have the following groups – Socrates, Emerson, Curie, Newton, Montessori, Rand, Galileo, Aristotle, and Plato.
