Hello! My name is Nicole Williams, your new School Social Worker at New Century Academy. I am very excited to get to know all students and their families at NCA!
I grew up in Bloomington, MN and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. From there, I attended St. Cloud State University and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. After graduating, I spent the summer in Colorado exploring the mountains and having fun! When I returned to Minnesota in August, I became employed by Headway Emotional Health Services in Richfield, MN as a Case Coordinator for a school-based program. I spent a year and a half at Headway, but learned about the school social worker opportunity available at NCA! Here at NCA I look forward to teaching the Teen Issues course as well as spending time in classrooms, meeting individually with students, and developing new school initiatives to ensure the academic, social, and emotional progress of our students.
Currently, I reside in Bloomington with my fiancé and our dog, Carter, and our cat, Sam. I look forward to moving closer to Hutchinson in the near future!! I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, exercising, and reading in my spare time.
I truly love working with students and their families. I welcome communication from parents/guardians. Please feel free to use me as a resource for any questions or concerns.
